DITZIE COUTURE!

COUTURE! COUTURE! Ditzie Cakes steps it up a notch....or two! Well, it is that time of year where I make my annual donation to a wonderful organization { The Camino Health Center Auxilary} which supports St. Joseph's Mission Hospital. Every year this organization has a fantastic Fashion Show hosted at the Ritz Carlton in Laguna to raise money by either ticket sales and most of its amazing auctions! I am thrilled to be part of this great group of women who are so involved in such a beautiful and worthy cause.
I had so much fun in this hand done ditzie couture auction gift! The gift is for a young girls birthday party. I included hand made invitations for twenty four, a young girls tank top with a cupcake logo and crystals, a gift certificate for three dozen of their choice and best of all..... twenty four girly tattoos of a flying cupcake that says " I Love Cupcakes!"
....And that I really do!!!

ANDIE'S CUPCAKES ON JAY LENO? OMG!

How COOOOL is that! My cupcake pattern made it to a Late Night skit with Jay Leno! Here you see three innocent victims reluctantly talked into dancing their way through a cupcake Rap. My next door neighbor had come over to ask me if I had watched last Monday night's Jay Leno show? No...why I asked? Because I just saw your cupcake design used in last nights show! THAT'S SO COOOOL! I will see if I can link the episode to my site.... but these are some stills I took of the cupcake skit....too cute!

Yepp! I figured it out....and so here is the cupcake skit on Jay LENO!!!!

EMILY & BRIAN'S WEDDING DAY!

It was as if the day couldn't be more perfect as Emily and Brian said their vows in the romantic location of La Jolla this afternoon. On my way down to the Estancia Resort, I was disappointed by the fog that started to drift in. Next thing you know I was in the thick of it and I had hoped that Brian and Emily's day wasn't going to look like this by the time they took their vows! Well, as if the heavens had opened when I got their ... the clouds disappeared and it couldn't have been more beautiful!!! Everything was gorgeous!!! Debbie from Flower's Etc. had been putting the finishing touches on the table floral arrangements and the cast and crew at the resort were splendidly finishing the last details of the reception hall. I guess it was my turn to put things together!

The table, I thought, came out nicely! Amy Kuchta, really....the most incredible wedding and event planner I have ever seen, let me borrow those great wine boxes! The setting was perfect...but my only wish that my camera's lithium battery didn't give out. I had only taken about five pictures and it died on me! I am hoping that the wedding photographer Marc Weisberg will take a few good ones for me.... pretty please!

All my best wishes ,Emily and Brian, for a happy and beautiful future together! Love, Andie

PS~ Great Picture of Emily and Brian!

ANDIE'S HALLOWEEN HAUNT!

Cast your Spells and Let the Wicket Deed be Done! I couldn't wait to start the planning for the little Trick O' Treat party I am hosting. There were labels to be designed for all the Apothocary Jars and small tags to be created for the goodie bags that everyone will take home with them. The new flavor I created for the cupcake shown here is Chocolate Pumpkin. It has a deep chocolate base with a hint of pumpkin and spices along with a Pumpkin Cream Cheese Buttercream that has a touch of orange and a pinch of spice. Now that's what I'm talking about casting a good wicked potion! I was truely having a terrorific time with all of this..... I hope my guests will too!
