Good Times! Good Cheer! Lot's of Giving to share to those who are in need! Surrounded by all of this Holiday Goodness is just a few of my favorite things! Euro Car OC had put on a fabulous event last Friday, December 17th and these are some pretty amazing pictures captured by Natacia Manibusan! And I too made a little donation to support The Joy Foundation..... that always makes me feel so good!

This was a night to be truly Joyful!!! EuroCar OC hosted their Annual Holiday Gala which not only Decked out the Halls to bring in the Christmas spirit but also brought out the true spirit of giving....

All proceeds from this beautiful event was extended to The Joyful Foundation. The Joyful Foundation is an organization of volunteers dedicated to providing comfort to individuals in their time of illness or hardship. They are most known for their hand sewn fleece blankets which hospitals receive for their patients as well as victims of spousal abuse and their children! So what a great cause to keep giving!

And what a fun and exciting night for Ditzie Cakes! A big thank you goes out to Tilo and Paula Steurer for being such gracious hosts for bringing in the Holidays!

You can't imagine how one incredible family Christmas card can lead to the gift of inspiration!
My favorite customer wanted to give the gift of Ditzie Cakes for her neighbors and friends this holiday! There were packages with each of a "Snowball" and a "Peppermint Bark" together tied with a bright green ribbon and an adorable tag with Sadie and her new sister Lucy! The Svitenko Family Christmas card had left me with a beautiful impression that I just wanted to capture again and again! So it was a must to have all the truffle pops and cupcake favors affectionately personalized with "Happy Holiday's... love the Svitenko Family!" in this modern twist of pink and green. No sweet treat will be denied the presentation of being tied!
See......Gift giving can be Sweet!
Happy Holidays to you, the Svitenko Family.....love ditzie cakes!

It's a beautiful day for Amanda's baby shower! Even though the weather forecasts some showers by this evening, that shouldn't matter.... for today the skies are perfect to celebrate the welcoming of Brooke Elizabeth! She is definitely going to be loved by her big sister Lainey and of course Amanda and John's entire family! We can't wait to meet you Brooke!

How lucky I am to keep meeting wonderful new people..... I couldn't feel more blessed and lucky! Yesterday, I had an order from a very talented lady by the name of Janean Bagley Lindner who I have been introduced to by a mutual friend. Her son Trenton was turning a big 15 years old yesterday and she wanted to celebrate with her and her family's favorite! Maybe that would be something lemony and something ....like in the form of a cupcake! Anyway, they were well received and I must let my customers know that Janean's photography is superb! Please visit her website as I am impressed with her talent. It is Gigglemoon Photography......and enjoy the captured beautiful moments!

As the year draws to end, the holidays rekindle that loving spirit which bring out good tidings and cheer! I love this time of year! And once again, I love giving to my deepest and fondest charity which is the Camino Health Center Auxiliary. Today, they held there annual Fashion Show at the Ritz Carlton in Dana Point. My wishes are that Ditzie Cakes may continue to support the Auxiliary's efforts for years to come! This year, I managed to auction off a the Story Book Donation which I posted back on November 1st! These pretty little cupcakes were dispayed at the membership table.......I can't wait to see who won this year!

Jessica has a beautiful little boy by the name of Esteban! She definitely took the liberty to make her very first born's first birthday an amazing one! The jungle was part of the theme and over the past few weeks, I have watched her plan and design invitations, make the birthday banner and put together numerous pom poms for the decor! Jessica is definitley on her way to becoming a stylist and event planner here very soon and I can't wait to see it when it happens!
I hope to see how it all came together last Saturday!

Autumn brings heavenly spices and scents of fond memories of my Mom baking in the kitchen! The aroma of a hint of cinnamon in the apple pie, pumpkin with a splash of bourban, gingered pear, maple and all of those savory smells which are enough to make you drool anxiously as you wait for Mom to take the scrumptious pie from the oven. I love that warm comforting feeling of what Autumn brings! The joy of family and good friends......and the hearty joy of extravagant cooking!

Once again, it's that awesome time of year where Ditzie Cakes likes to give a little towards it's favorite charity - The Camino Auxiliary! I can't believe that it has been three years since I have been introduced to such a great organization. For this auction, held at the Ritz Carlton on November 23rd.... I kept it simple. I wanted my future customer & winning bidder of this gift basket to create their own story! I included a "Little Brag Book" which captured about 20 pages or so showing the endless possibilities I had done for other customers. Hopefully this future winning bidder will be another sweet story to add to the Ditzie Cakes memoires! I am looking forward to meeting my winner..... Good luck and see you soon!!!!

Just feeling a little Ditzie for my new Kitchen Apparel line! As some of you may know, I have been diligently creating some patterns for my Couture Apparel which will consist of aprons for both adults and kids, fabulous baby apparel and some unique kitchen items! These are button covered magnets with two of the patterns I designed! Cherrylicious and the McQueen Plaid's are what's cooking in the Ditzie Kitchen!!!!

Out come the spooks and ghoules on Halloween Night! And I couldn't be more excited.... I mean terrified! This is my most favorite holiday next to Christmas which I just love to get into the decorating terrifying spirit! Captured above are some festive halloween cupcakes I am serving up for this month of October. The Pumpkin Chocolate cupcake is to die for.....boo haa haa! And the cupcake with the frightening bat-which I designed and made the cutter myself- is Red Velvet. I find the Red Velvet suits so many occasions! You can see the Halloween Menu on my website until the end of October! Don't be scared now..... but the intro to the website might scare you a little!!!!
Love to decorate and this collage below is my dining room table. Someone is having way too much fun here....

Ditzie Cakes just had to do something barn dandy for the 8th Annual Barn Dance gift basket the Cause will be auctioning off tommorrow October 9th, 2010! I just couldn't help myself by playing off the western theme since it will benefit the SJC Equestrian Coalition in San Jaun Capistrano. After I put the basket together, or should I say bowl, it reminded me of bobbing for apples!
For the Ditzie Certificate, I changed up the original colors of the ditzie color pallette to browns and reds and even changed my tag to compliment the gift certificate....yes, sometimes I feel like a nut....but you have to do what you have to do to make it come together!

Got Milk? This new flavor from Ditzie Cakes will pair nicely with a tall glass of cold milk! Oreo cookies are crumbled everywhere on this cupcake and filled with a nice whipped frosting center just like the Oreo themselves. I think for the next try, I could make the batter swim with more chunks of Oreo cookies but this sweet little cupcake came out nicely for the first attempt.... Ok! so let's go get some milk!

The flavors of pineapple, orange and rum make me think of lazy hot summer days sipping on a Mai Tai! This little diddy cupcake captures the same exotic notes of that refreshing Mai Tai..... really, this a perfect ending to a fabulous day!

All these years working with you Jaime and the day has come that you are leaving! Well little Texas girl.....the place won't be the same without you! I am going to keep this post short because I think that I am going to seriously bring on some waterworks...... I will always remember your cheeriness and your crazy and fun loving personality. I am lucky to know you and I wish the world for you when you go back home to Texas. They grow things big in Texas so I hope all your dreams come true and they are bigger than life! Best to you Jaime! Love, Andie

Wow! I can't explain the exhilerating feeling when you get a nice press release from a reputable Magazine......Riviera Magazine that is! I had the opportunity to create two incredible "Sweet Bars" for two of their seperate events. One was for the "Sex in the City 2 Premiere" hosted by Macy's and the following month was for Riviera Magazine's Sexy Night! Both were so incredible... Again, Riviera Magazine knows how to create a fabulous party with some great guests on their invite list!

Simply divine..... There is no other words to describe this take on the Animal Restaurant's Bacon Chocolate Crunch bar. Ditzie Cakes, however created it's own version with layers of a dark chocolate ganache and a sprinkling of peanuts with another layer of chocolate hazelnut ganache! And the icing on the cake is not the icing but rather a sprinkle of crispy bacon on top! It's just Heaven! Or just maybe a little Sinful!!!

I don't want to give all of the surprise away just yet but here is a glimpse of what I have been working on lately! Ditzie Cakes is going through a real renovation. After working on this new site for nearly 6 months I am eager to have it posted! However there are a few more photoshoots to be taken and some things to post in the gift shop which is still in process. I just received samples of fabrics I designed and I was so excited to see how great they looked. One however, needed a few color corrections and I will get the new strike-off to review in about a week. Can't wait to show you the Ditzie Couture Apparel and my new Ditzie Baby line! So I apologize for the old website that still is up. I really can't wait to show you all the new and improved site!

Pictures are most definitely worth a thousand words aren't they? Especially when they are captured by the talented Natacia Manibusan. What is so wonderful about attending some of these incredible events is the great joy of getting to meet so many talented people who make it all come together. I had the pleasure to be introduced to yet such another talent! I picked out some of my favorite pictures from the Euro Car Gala Opening which Natacia had graciously provided me. As you can see there were plenty of delicious and yummy things to feast your eyes on! Thank you so much Natacia for sharing!

It's never easy to say goodbye especially when you get know someone for nearly seven years! Angela, you will be greatly missed.... Yesterday, however, some of us got together to pull off a surprise "farewell" party for Angela's last day working at Robert Kaufman, Inc. Jessica and Maria certainly put their skills together to make this dessert table come alive!!!! I can't thank these girls enough for making it soooooo pretty! The banting said "good luck!" in adorable pinks and greens and the pinwheels were done in the same color all out of papers! It was a great farewell and a job well done!

Who says sweet cupcakes and shiny fast cars can't co-exists deliciously together! Euro Car OC in Costa Mesa had the most amazing opening. On Friday night, they shared the love with their new 55,ooo square foot showroom which they just relocated to in early July. Paula Steuer, the beautiful wife of Tilo Steuer, was such a great pleasure to work with indeed! Truely, the evening was as classic and refined as the cars they had in their showroom. The guests were invited to indulge in fine catering of Creme de la Creme, adore the floral arrangements by The Ruffled Tulip , sip the finest cocktails you can you can dream up with Boru vodka, sneek in a little sweetness of Ditzie Cakes and witness the splendor of even more shiny trinkets of .....Winston's Jewelers! Oh my gosh.....it was pure joy! Thank you so much Tilo and Paula and everyone who made this an evening to remember!
